Jim Osborne's RC Fleet

Here is my latest rc model of the Miss Bardahl U-40 that has just been completed and ready to try on the water.
The 26cc gas motor is supposed to take it close to the 60 mph mark.

1966 Miss Bardahl

My involvment started in the late 1950's racing 5 hp J class runabout up through an occasional race in my dad's D Stock hydro.
My dad and Ron Musson started racing together in the late 1950's. A 10-hp Mercury hurricane and a Sid Craft boat were their lake racers. In the early 1960's, they both co-owned for a short period of time, Chromium and Chromate (a 135 and 266), one or both of which were US-1's. As the story goes, I think I recall that one of those boats may have been a Wa Wa. I would sure love to know. Also, I would love to know if the Wa Wa I have in my posession is indeed a scale Wa Wa or was it a forerunner to my Dad's inboards.
I have tried to make contact about the hull, but to no avail.

This is a scratch built scale Lauterbach that should be in a museum somewhere, if not the lobby of the Lauterbach factory.
