Go Go Girl is a 280 class hull with 305 Chevy that was built in 1969 by Lauterbach. The hydro is owned by Ray Maloney of Key West, Florida. This hull was formerly owned and driven by Teddy Baker as Bo's Back. She ran as a 280, 225, and 150.

Chris Hall's Bluewater Special Lauterbach.
Bluewater Special. A 2.5 Litre hull with Datsun 240Z (2400cc) inline six cylinder that was built in 1974 by Henry Lauterbach that is owned by Chris Hall of Hampton, Virginia.
This boat was originally the Coal Cat, and was redone by Larry Lauterbach over the winter. The original Bluewater Special was destroyed, (although not totally), at the Red Bank Regatta in September 1978. The Bluewater started life as the Sreemin' Meemie, a 280 owned by Chuck Kittell from Miami. It was changed to a 2.5 Litre in 1976 and won the first heat of the nationals. We purchased the boat in November 1976 and our first race was at Miami in February 1977. The boat won the 1978 summer Nationals and was the 1978 high Point Champion. Overall, we won 22 races out of 31 entered before the accident!

Jim Thompson's "Mystery Boat" Conn-Craft

Jim Thompson some found more info at the show. He adds a GREAT Big Thank You that goes out to Buddy Roper and his crew. They made this a great event. I am really glad that Buddy convinced me to take the, may be not for long, "Mystery Boat" to the regatta. The identification looks like it is the Miss Miami. A few details hopefully will 100% identify it. Thanks to all the people that helped me with the investigation. Thanks again Buddy for a well organized and fun Regatta!
Jim Thompson.

The other vintage hydro that was at this event was Tom D'Eath's Wa Wa too. Henry Lauterbach took this hydro out on the course for a few laps.
