280 cubic inch class hydroplane built by Rich Hallett.
The hydro campaigned most its life on the West Coast and was very successful
in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

How it looked when I took over ownership
Rebuilding
The first coat of epoxy goes on. She's really starting to look
like something.
The credit goes to Jack Hines for the beautiful work he did in making
a new rudder for the boat.
All Jack had to work with was a drawing supplied to me by Hal LeDuc
for the rudder on the Opechee.
My thanks to Hal for the drawing, and my sincere thanks to Jack for
a fantastic job on the rudder.
last coat of resin on the decks. 1 light sanding then flip it and let
Steve shoot her!
I still need to get- misc wiring, slings and all the covers (seat,
cockpit cover, scoop cover and rear cowl cover)
Now it goes off to the painter.
Steve Lewis (the same guy that did Chris Hall's boat) did this one
also.
Lettering by Igor.
Prop ready for heat treat and it is in the rough grind condition.
Harold made an exact match of the original, with the progressive increase
in pitch from 18 to 21 at the leading edge.
Scott Liddycoat rebuilt the hydro. Son is watching Dad's work.

me to complete this project.
