Miss Supersonic II
Here are the pictures of the aluminum boat that I have started.
It is being built using 19’ Jones hull plans comprised around the 1950’s
(The plans are not dated).
The plans are from an 11 frame design.
Frames 5 - 11 have been installed, along with the transom.
The boat hull will be totally built & skinned with aluminum, with
the exception of the fiberglass cowlings.
Some of the connections are bolted together, to give the frames some
mobility and flex.
All of the frames have been installed.
Some of the battons have been installed as well, and some of the outside
skin.
Some of the questions I have been receiving concering the skin getting
ripples after welding should be answered here.
The skin will be placed over the battons, and the battons will be shimmed
against the frames as needed.
No filler material will be necessary for fair in the deck or the bottom.
The frames and the battons for the bottom have been completely installed,
along with the framing for the sponsons.
Part of the bottom skin has been installed as well.
