Y-38 - Justy Pikunas (IMP) The boat was purchased by Justy Pikunas and after he raced it for a few seasons he had some things done to the boat in Florida over the winter in 1988, cutting and curving of the corners of the deck over the sponsons. Justy then added a motorcycle power plant and the boat never ran competitively again. The boat was used by BOX 21 for capsule training and left for dead, to Jack Hines which in turn was picked up by myself and son to restore and run as the new Gizzy Whomper. The name was created by my late father in the mid 70's for a race boat that never made it to a race. |
