Bayer exhaust, Quincy mid, SSM. The basically stock Merc 1000 has had minor port timing changes, carb and ignition updates and triple Bayer exhaust stacks. The mid-section is a Quincy replica and the gearcase is a twin pnion Super Speed Master. All hardware with the exception of the block has been polished. The boat as raced by Pete Delackner ran a four cylinder Merc650 and Parker midsection. Steve Cox also ran a Merc800 prior to preparation of the current Merc1000. |
