My father, Mitch 'Doc J' Jabczenski and my Grandfather (Mitch Sr.) were Chiropractors in the Detroit area and were very active with hydroplane racing in the late 1940s to 1960. They had 3 boats that they campaigned through those years. I did see a picture of the first boat and I know they burned it in a field because it was so heavy and not competitive, so they purchased these 2 boats: F-89 Chiro III was a Lauterbach (click here to read that boat's story) and was driven by Bud James and the Ted Jones designed, F-93 Chiro Too. Bud was my Dad's mechanic. Bud James also made it into Gulf's 100mph club in the Chiro III, F-89. Bud is the person in the photo wearing white pants standing on the deck of F-89. above story from Jim Jabczenski, son of Mitch 'Doc J' Jabczenski Race site unknown Louisville, Kentucky Chiro Too F-93 Pulling out of the pits in Swan Creek, Michigan 1961 Chiro Too F-93 Celina, Ohio 1961 High Winder II, N-71 The hydro was purchased by Ed Morgan and it was converted from a 266 (F) class to a 225 (N) class hydro.
