REGION 4 Power boat drivers, owners and enthusiasts came from throughout the region. Sans helmets. Sans safety jackets. There wasn't a gasoline can or smudged grease rag to be found among them. The uniform for this event was suits and ties for the men and cocktail and dinner dresses for the women. The occasion was Region 4's annual high point awards banquet in Grasonville, Md. Double honors went to Andy Lemeshewsky of Fairfax, Va. He received the first-place award in the 280 hydro class and the John W. Bramble Memorial Trophy as over-all high point finisher in the inboard class. Don Christy of Baltimore, Md., won the largest share of trophies, tallying up top honors in the A, B, C and D stock hydro classes. Bill. Thomas of Hayes, Va., took first and second-place awards in the E service runabout class, and Bob Morris of. Laurel, Md., a first place in the Ski class. In the hydro division, trophies went to Richard Loeb, of Norfolk, Va., in 48; Billy Brown of Richmond, Va., in 145; Woody Pliescott, Jr., of Cambridge, Md., in 150; Rodney Brogden, of Newport News, Va., in 225; and Gene Henderson, of Washington, DC., in 266. Runabout firsts included the JU, Randy Walker, of Baltimore; AU, William Turner Miles, Bladensburg, Md.; BU, Norman Brew- ington, Baltimore; CU, Weeden Brown, Chester, Va.; and DU, Roger Grimes, Fredericksburg, Va. Second-place certificates were presented in the 145 hydros to Louis Lutto, Jr., Richmond, Va.; 150 to Keith Blair, Alexandria, Va.; 225 to Thomas Cocker, Richmond, Va.; and 280 to Don Waldorf, Hayes, Va.; AU runabout, Robert E. Lee, Richmond, Va.; DU runabout, Weeden Brown, Chester, Va.; IU runabout, Norman Sawyer, Richmond, Va. Third-place certificates were picked up in the 150 hydros by Rudy Gurley, Hampton, Va.; 280, Frank Farmer, Richmond; E service runabout, Ray Gerringer, Newport News, Va.; AU runabout, Robert Sawyer, Richmond; CU and DU runabout, Milton Decatur, Midway Island, Va.; IU runabout, S.
