Mom's shot is between the second and third shot of Bob Carver's famous nine shot sequence of the F-19 Short Snort 266 class hydro of Lynn Montgomery. 
The sequence appeared in the German magazine "Boote", Issue 5 in 1970. 
That is not when the flip took place, but when the magazine ran the photos. 
The sequence is also in "Speed and Spray" page 42.

The 1966 Nationals on Lake Washington.
The first 7-Litre heat was brought to a spectacular conclusion when Willaim Legg nosed in the Seattle boat Miss Treated Miss just after crossing the finish line
in fourth place. The craft disintegrated directly in front of the officials' barge. Legg was hospitalized with facial injuries, slight concussion and in deep shock.
Ron Jones, Sr. designed and built it and tried to get them to move the engine back but they wouldn't do it.
Bill Leggs' engine builder had a piece of tape on the valve covers that said. "Keith Who?"
