The Members of the Northern Kentucky Boat Club wish to dedicate the 225 National Championship race today to a man well known in the boat racing fraternity.
CHARLES (Chuck) HUNTER
You may remember Chuck and his ever famous and also hot contender "Miss Columbus" of the 225 C.I. class.
During the regatta in St. Petersburg, Florida in February of this year, Chuck was hurt during a race and at present is still not able to walk.
We miss Chuck and his wonderful family today, so may we all express our sincere good wishes for his speedy recovery.

inboard racing world,
CLYDE FOX of Cincinnati, is here today to give you a running account of all the races
inboard and outboard closses,
in both
Fox has announced nearly all of the top inboard events in the Midwest and
Eastern sfafes.
Some of the outstanding ruces announced by Fox are: Cincinnuti, Dayton, Akron,
Detroit, Pittsburgh, St. Petersburg, Palm Beuch, Florida, and at many other cities
where such races have become popular.
At present Fox is chairman of Region 6 of the American Power Boat Association,
which coyers Ohio, Michiggn, Kentucky and the Western half of Pennsylvania. He
is a member of the Deţroit Yacht Clyb, the Prop Riders of Detroit, Detroit River Racing
Assocition, Greater Dayton Boat Club, St. Petersburg Yacht Club, Magnolia Yacht
Club of New Martinsile, W. Virglnia, and last, but not ledst, the Northern Kentucky
Boat Club.
Before becoming aņ announcer and an official of the A. P. B. A. he raced his
own 225 cubic inch hydroplane, called JAY-CEE, from 1937 to 1949. This boot and
owner were very popular during those racing years.
