This was the first 229 Chevy V-6 built in America. Almost everything had to be fabricated due to non existence of aftermarket application hardware. Due to the rules, a single 650 CFM carb was used. All internal components were modified per the rules. Many 350 Chevrolet components were incorporated. We had #2 high rise intake manifold manufactured by GM for racing. Many hours were spent with GM technical and a famous drag racer in California to develop this engine.
